For IaS Ideas & Solutions GmbH, I worked on the design and development of a web application for managing horse betting operations. The system enables efficient handling of races, betting pools, and results, providing a clear and structured interface for complex workflows.
The application was built using modern technologies including Vue.js 3, Nuxt, and TypeScript, with a strong focus on scalability and usability.
Problem
The application required a robust and scalable frontend capable of handling complex, real-time data such as race updates, betting pools, and status changes.
At the same time, the interface needed to remain clear and intuitive for users working primarily on desktop and tablet devices, despite the high level of complexity and interaction.
Approach & Implementation
The focus was on building a scalable frontend architecture while designing a clear and efficient user interface for managing complex betting workflows.
Developed the application using Vue.js 3, Nuxt, and TypeScript, ensuring a scalable and maintainable codebase.
Designed and implemented a responsive interface optimized for desktop and tablet usage.
Built and refined race overview and detail pages based on wireframes, improving clarity and usability.
Implemented structured modal dialogs for editing race details, results, runner orders, betting pools, and status changes.
Developed logic for managing betting pool status transitions depending on race states.
Created an auto-update mechanism to periodically fetch race data, including status, details, and winning probabilities.
Redesigned and unified the main navigation to provide a consistent experience across desktop and mobile devices.
Results & Impact
The result is a powerful and scalable web application that enables efficient management of complex horse betting processes.
Users benefit from a clear interface, streamlined workflows, and near real-time updates, while the modern technical foundation ensures flexibility and future growth.
